Bring your data to life.

We build the visualizations stakeholders read, the figures journals accept, and the decks that earn the next meeting. Sankeys, networks, and forest plots, alongside the cleaner staples. Hand-coded, accessible, and designed around your question.

Sankey diagram of patient flow A flow diagram showing how an initial screened cohort splits across four downstream stages.

Hover a node or a link. Each band is patients moving from one stage to the next.

What this shows

Of 1,000 people screened, only 31% reach the desired outcome (improved). The largest single drop is at enrollment: 550 of 700 eligible patients enroll, a 21% loss right after screening. Among those who complete the protocol, 70% improve. If the goal is lifting the bottom-line outcome, the highest-leverage stage to target is enrollment, not completion or treatment response.

Sample data shaped on published screening-trial pipelines. Sankey laid out by stage; node ordering and gaps tuned for legibility.

Beyond the basics

Advanced techniques

Multi-level Sankey diagrams, force-directed networks, scrollytelling, faceted small multiples, ridgelines, and animated reveals. We pick the technique that fits the question, not the one in the template gallery.

Manuscript-grade

Publication-ready figures

Forest plots, Kaplan-Meier curves, subgroup heatmaps, consort diagrams. Built to journal style, exported as vector-clean SVG and PDF, with the methods written up in plain language for reviewers.

Story discipline

Decks that hold up

One figure per slide, defensible numbers, and a narrative that survives a hostile Q&A. We work in Keynote, Google Slides, PowerPoint, or Marp, and we run the dry run with you before the room sees it.

Built for researchers

Most of our work starts with a dataset and a question. We help you go from query to figure to slide without losing the rigor in between.

  • All of Us Researcher Workbench. If your data lives in the Workbench, we can collaborate on cohort builds, analysis notebooks, and visualizations that respect the data-use agreement.
  • Other research environments. Public-use files, REDCap exports, institutional warehouses, and Census/ACS data. We work where your data already is.
  • Reproducibility on purpose. Code is shared, transformations are documented, and every figure traces back to a query you can re-run.

How we work

Scope in a 30-minute call. We listen for the question behind the request. Most engagements scope cleanly into a single visualization, a deck, or a deeper analysis with figures and a writeup.

Draft, then refine. Early drafts go out fast so you can react before we polish. We treat your time as the constraint, not ours.

Hand off, not lock in. You get the source files, the data pipeline, and a short README. If you want us back next quarter, great. If not, you can run with it.

Storytelling format

Single-page placemat

A printable, screenshot-able one-pager that condenses a 4-year program into a single sheet. Headline metric, hero chart, supporting stats, key finding. Designed to be faxed, forwarded, and held up under review.

The gallery shows six live interactives, including the Sankey above, a force-directed comorbidity network, and a manuscript-style forest plot. The case study walks through a six-step data story with a single chart that rebuilds itself as you scroll. The services page covers what each engagement looks like.
