Placemat · One-pager

One page. One story.

The deliverable that gets faxed, printed, forwarded, and screenshot. It has to read at a glance and hold up under scrutiny. Below is a working example for the same grant program shown in the dashboard, condensed to a single sheet.

Key finding for Year 3

Year 3 closes on plan, with broad reach across all six sites and 92% of milestones met on schedule. Four projects need program-officer attention entering Year 4: two with milestone slippage despite normal spend, one materially behind on spend, and one ahead of schedule that may seek a no-cost extension. Recommended Y4 actions are listed in the program review packet.

Methodology

Numbers reflect cumulative spend and reach as recorded in the program management system through April 30, 2026. Patient counts are unique individuals served; milestone counts reflect Year-3 deliverables only. Sample data shown for illustration.

Why a one-pager.

A board doesn't read a 40-slide deck. A reviewer doesn't open the supplement. A funder doesn't dig past the cover letter. The one-pager is the artifact that has to do the work in those moments: enough numbers to be defensible, enough story to be repeatable, enough structure to print without falling apart.

We build these for grant reports, board updates, conference handouts, and sales-room leave-behinds. The format is opinionated, the production is fast, and the result reads as well at month 6 as it did the day it was printed.
